Terms

These terms explain how J Plane Websites works with clients. They apply to every website project and to the optional website editor. Any project-specific details agreed in writing before work begins also form part of the agreement.

1. The service

A complete website costs £450 as a one-off payment and includes custom design, development, mobile and desktop optimisation, business information, service sections, contact forms, SEO foundations, domain setup, deployment, performance optimisation and launch. The exact pages and features for your website are agreed before work begins.

2. The website editor

The website editor is optional and costs £30 per month or £250 as a one-off payment. It lets you update your website's content yourself without changing code. The monthly option continues until you cancel it. If it ends, your website stays online — you just won't be able to edit it yourself through the editor.

3. Payment

Payment terms are confirmed in writing before work begins. Unless agreed otherwise, the website is launched once payment has been received in full. Prices are in pounds sterling.

4. Your part

To build your website I'll need information from you — such as your business details, services, prices, text and images. You confirm that you have the right to use any content you provide, and that it's accurate and lawful. Timeframes depend on receiving content and feedback when needed.

5. Reviews and changes

You'll be able to review your website and request changes before it goes live. Changes that fall within the agreed scope are included. Larger additions — such as new features or extra pages not originally agreed — may be quoted separately, and will only go ahead with your agreement.

6. Domains, hosting and third-party services

I'll connect your domain and set up hosting and deployment as part of the build. Domain names are registered with a domain registrar and are subject to that registrar's own terms and renewal fees. Any ongoing third-party costs will be explained and agreed with you before work begins.

7. Ownership

Once your website has been paid for in full, the website content and design created for you are yours to use for your business. Content you supply remains yours throughout. I may show your website as an example of my work unless you ask me not to.

8. Liability

I take care to build reliable, well-tested websites, but can't guarantee that a website will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will achieve particular search rankings or business results. Nothing in these terms limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, or affects your statutory rights.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. J Plane Websites is based in Norwich, Norfolk.
