Questions, answered plainly.
Costs, the editor, domains, hosting and how the process works. If your question isn't here, just ask.
Pricing
How much does a website cost?
A complete website starts at £450, as a one-off payment. That covers the design, build, mobile and desktop optimisation, contact forms, SEO foundations, domain setup, deployment and launch.
Are there different packages?
No. There's one complete website for £450, and one optional extra: the website editor. Nothing to compare, no confusing tiers.
Are there any other costs?
Domain names are registered and renewed with a domain provider, so that cost is paid to them. If your project needs any other paid service, I'll explain it and agree it with you before work begins. There are no hidden charges.
Website editor
Do I need the website editor?
No. The editor is optional. You can buy the £450 website on its own. The editor is for businesses that want to make their own changes after launch.
How much is the editor?
£30 per month, or £250 as a one-off payment. It's the same editor either way.
Monthly or one-off — which should I choose?
The one-off £250 works out cheaper if you'll use the editor for more than 8 months. Monthly keeps the upfront cost low. The pricing page has a calculator to compare them.
What can I change with the editor?
Everyday content: prices, services, opening hours, text, photos, announcements and contact details. You make the change, publish it, and the website updates — without touching any code.
Domains & hosting
Is hosting included?
I set up the hosting and deployment for you as part of the build, so you don't need to deal with any of the technical setup. If a project has hosting needs that would involve an ongoing cost, I'll explain it clearly and agree it with you before any work begins.
Can you connect my domain?
Yes. If you already own a domain, I'll connect it to your new website and handle the settings.
What if I don't already own a domain?
That's no problem. I can help you choose a suitable domain, register it and get everything set up.
The process
How long does a website take?
It depends on the size of the website and what it needs to do. We'll agree a timeframe together before any work begins, so you know what to expect.
Can I request changes before the website goes live?
Yes. You review the full website before launch and can request changes. It only goes live once you're happy with it.
What do I need to provide?
Details of your business and services, your logo if you have one, and any photos you'd like to use. The process page has a checklist you can work through.
Do you only work with businesses in Norwich?
I'm based in Norwich, Norfolk, but I'm happy to build websites for businesses anywhere in the UK. Everything can be done by phone, video call and email.
Technical
Will it work on phones?
Yes. Every website is built for mobile and desktop, and checked on phones, tablets and larger screens.
Will my website show up on Google?
Every website is built with SEO foundations: proper page titles and descriptions, a clear structure, a sitemap and local business information. That gives search engines what they need to understand your business. No one can honestly guarantee rankings, and I won't.
